UT Southwestern is a collaborative academic environment that counts 6 Nobel laureates, 21 members of the National Academy of Sciences, and 19 members of the Institute of Medicine among its faculty. In addition to state of the art research and educational facilities, UT Southwestern Medical Center has excellent patient care facilities that include the new William P. Clements, Jr University Hospital which opened in December, 2014. Within the same medical district, a new Parkland Hospital is scheduled to open in 2015.

Job Description/
Responsibilities Summary:

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center has initiated a search for the Dean of the School of Health Professions. This position represents an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional individual to further develop and shape excellent existing academic programs in fields that include Physical Therapy, Clinical Nutrition, Physician Assistant Studies, Rehabilitation Counseling and Prosthetics-Orthotics. These programs, as well as additional certificate and residency programs in the School of Health professions are part of the educational, research and clinical care missions of UT Southwestern.

Qualifications - Required: We seek a recognized leader with an outstanding academic background and management experience. Candidates must have a firm commitment to the education of health care professionals and to the clinical care and research missions of the Medical Center. Successful candidate will have a Ph.D. or M.D. from an accredited institution.
